Steering Wheel Offenders Will Face Consequences
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced the initiation of undercover inspections on buses before the holiday to enhance traffic safety. A total of 720 personnel, including 636 police officers and 84 gendarmes, will board buses as passengers to observe the drivers.
INTENSIVE MONITORING OF BUS DRIVERS
Minister Yerlikaya stated that the assigned personnel will monitor whether bus drivers comply with traffic rules during the journey. Issues such as adherence to speed limits, seat belt usage, and general traffic rules will be inspected.

Emphasizing that the primary goal of the inspections is to ensure citizens reach their families safely, Yerlikaya made the following call: “Let’s avoid speeding. Let’s not forget to wear seat belts in our vehicles and buses. Remember, journeys are meant to reunite you with your loved ones, not to separate you.”
